形態特徵

• Tuber globose or depressed-globose, 3-15 by 2-9 cm, seasonally producing several thin, rhizomatous offset tubers, ca. 1 × 3 cm.
• Leaf solitary; petiole 20-100 cm long, 1-2.5 cm wide at base, dark green with numerous, tiny, blackish green spots; lamina 30-120 cm long and wide, highly dissected; leaflets somewhat obovate or elliptic-ovate, 5.5-11 by 2.5-4.5 cm long, upper surface dark emerald green with a pinkish-violet margin.
• Inflorescence long-peduncled, 40-125 cm long, 1-4 cm in diam. at base; spathe campanulate, broadly triangular, 13-53 cm long, 12-45 cm in diam., acute, base obliquely urceolate, outside pale green, faintly flushed with purple or dark green with numerous pale whitish green spots, inside blackish maroon, covered with numerous short ridge-like, laterally compressed, fleshy warts, limb horizontally spreading or obliquely upturned, margin undulate, outside pale green flushed with purplebrown or dark grayish green with whitish green spots and margins dirty purple, inside maroonish flushed with green or with numerous small, rounded, sometimes confluent, whitish greenish spots. Spadix much longer than spathe, stipitate, 31-89 cm long, stipe 0.2-1 cm long, male and female zone separated by a narrow, sterile zone; female zone 1.6-6.5 cm long, flowers lax; male zone 3-9 cm long, flowers congested, interspersed with scattered, purple hairs; appendix narrowly conic, 25-73 cm long, 2-7 cm in diam. (base), entirely purple or with numerous, dirty greenish, small spots, apex obtuse, surface lossely hirsute, hairs 0.2-1.5 cm long, purple. Female flowers: style 1 mm long, 1.5 mm in diam., maroon; stigma 2.5 mm in diam., 1.8 mm high, grayish purple. Male flower: stamens 2 mm long; filaments 0.5 mm long, anthers 1.5 mm long, ivory white.

分布

• 台灣 : Frequently south of the Tropic of Cancer; grassy orchards, plantations, moist valleys, in thin soils on limestone bedrock or in karst areas in partly shaded or fully exposed conditions and partly disturbed broadleaved forest, 90-800 m.
